Randomizing my TBR #4 | Jan 4, ’24
Good morning,
New year, new unhauled books! Time to get this shrinked down a bit- I’ve just gotten so many bookstore giftcards and yet have no idea which books to buy 🥲 So hopefully doing this will remind me of a few that I had forgotten I had on my list and prompt me to get them..
This TBR game/whatever you wanna call it – is entirely my own idea (though the concept of TBR games are not original). You are more than welcome to do it yourself, but I would like credit; @DBsguidetothegalaxy.
- The Steps; Go to your want-to-read shelf.Click to show 10 books (for Goodreads, that’s down at the bottom).
- Also on Goodreads, click to sort the books by random.
Now you have 10 random books! - Decide what to do with them – remove, read right now, or just… leave it on the tbr shelf lol. What I did which isn’t very smart, lol, is create two additional tbr shelves.
- Also on Goodreads, click to sort the books by random.
So, because I use Storygraph, mine will be done a bit different.. as it doesn’t allow me to randomize 10 books just yet. So today’s mood will be “Adventurous”, “fiction”, and I choosed to be shown “Earliest added”. I will then proceed to take the first 10 it gives me.
Virtual wanna read shelf before altercations; 1203 books.
The books i’ve gotten today;
- How to date a Superhero (and not die trying), Cristina Fernandez [SG]
Cheater code, S.A Foxe & DazAgain?! Re-roll!- The moth girl, Heather Kamins [SG]
- Youngblood, Sasha Laurens [SG]
- The sleepless, Victor Manibo [SG]
- The love you deserve, Jen Morris [SG]
- A game of wings and marks, Rebecca Crunden [SG]
- Not the witch you wed, April Asher [SG]
- The drowning summer, C.L. Herman [SG]
- The big reveal, Jen Larsen [SG]
- Don’t hate the player, Alexis Nedd [SG]
Keeping:
The Moth girl, Youngblood (for now), The sleepless, The love you deserve, The drowning summer, the big reveal, Don’t hate the player
Removing:
How to date a superhero, A game of wings and marks, Not the witch you wed.
Virtual wanna read shelf after; 1200 books. While it went better than the last one where I only removed one book, I actually thought I would remove more! Sometimes I add fantasies onto my list even knowing that I know I can’t read them.. so I was really hoping this mood would get more of them 😅 I did keep a few fantasies, but they looked to be more magical realism, which those aren’t too struggling for me.
Have you read any of those?
I’ve heard about The Drowning Summer and I like that cover. The Moth Girl looks interesting, never heard of it before.
As usual, both were books I found somewhere in the blogosphere, ahah! I find both covers to be gorgeous
