Sunday’s Chat — Doing things amist all the working (& covid scare)

Good morning!

We’re back with this again, with a new format this time.

* This is my version of the meme “Sunday’s Post” going around the blogosphere (without the this week’s/next week’s posts) hosted by @Caffeinated Reviewer.

Yet again, working has been taking most of my time.. We got one new ‘friend’ that I’ve been slowly training to work with me, but we’re also losing one of ours to go bake in our kitchen instead — among little knacks like one kid dislocating her knee and the other starting her hockey/soccer so i’ve been doing 6days a week for half of the month.

I got to the point where I accidentally gave myself an hour of work more than I needed to – as somehow I missed that I was in for 1pm and not noon… so I showed up to work a whole hour early 😂 Super confused how my other closer wasn’t there, as I was sure in my mind that it was 1pm.. until he showed up and I basically confused everyone ahaha- woops. It was a super busy sunday though, so it was like I felt that they needed me somehow; it was a wierd one.

We’re finally in mid-april! which means most of our kids will finish school and University soon.. so I can hopefully get a break and shrinking down from working 6days to 4days of 8hrs, because all thoses people would wanna get more hours, so I can rest a bit on shortened weeks and then plop back the crazy hours in the winter 😬
(because of my insurance, I need to clock atleast 30hrs)

★ For easter sunday on the 4th, My dad treated us to my favorite meal- a Pinneapple ham. We haven’t done anything special as a family, but we did facetime with few of my family on dad’s side with his mother… which left me a bit emotional. She’s the type to point out of fat you’ve gotten, or how depressed you look — and for me she said how she barely recognized me and how pretty I was.

Last time i’ve seen my godmother has been when I brought my ex home for my uncle’s wedding, so two years ago now — She hadn’t seen me since I’ve had shaved my head, which is now slowly growing back.

★ Ironically, i’ve brought both of my dogs to clean their teeth.. but not mine 😆  so I finally got the time to do that- good news being that the teeth that had been bothering me has just been the filling not properly limed, so he fixed that for me. I was absolutely sure it has hit the road, as it was between two teeth- but nope! still there.

★ Most exciting news of all.. I FINALLY got to give blood again! because I usually get Sunday & Mondays off, and Sunday it’s closed.. I need my boss to give me a Monday/Tuesday instead- as I fear that the running around and the lifting I do on a daily basis would be too much and i’d pass out -as they say you gotta rest and not do heavily strong exercicing/heavy lifting for the next 24hrs-.

I even got asked to come in that day, as one of our kid had her driver’s ED, but he backed up knowing I was giving blood at 10am, so 😇  I still had to work the next day at noon, but couldn’t go on monday because I went for my cleaning so I had to wait for the following day. However, I was quite surprised to see they had appointments available for the morning (usually was from 3pm), so between the time I give blood and go to work the next noon, there’s a bit more than 24hrs.. hopeful it’d be enough.

I was due to go back since FEBRUARY, and just couldn’t because of work; this being my sixth donation ❤️  Which is pretty special as on the 22nd we’ll celebrate 6years of mother’s kidney transplant.

★ While running tests to check on said new kidney, as it was gonna turn on the 6th year anniversary of the transplant, Mother had to do some Xrays on the same day that I gave blood (so the 12th)… and we just got notified that we gotta self-isolate because one individal was found to have had covid, and they might’ve had infected the ER & radiology department of our “french” hospital on that day.

Mother will be tested sometime on the day this post goes live– though I highly doubt it’d be positive, thanksfully, as there’s no way my poor immuno-compromised mother wouldn’t have had a single symptom in 5days. There’s just no way, ithink we would’ve had known if she had covid, given her health..

However; we are currently in the unknown right now, all that we know is that we gotta self-isolate and she has to get tested. No informations upon when we’d get the results, or if we gotta self-isolate the whole 2weeks even if she gets a negative, nothing.  (added on April 17th)

How did the past weeks treated you?
Do you have any anime to reccomend me?
