Sunday’s Chat — recap of my vacation & how the first week of 2022 treated me

Good morning!

It’s the first Sunday’s Chat of the year ❤️❤️ We’re gonna be reflecting on my vacation on the last week of 2021, aswell as how 2022 started for me.

* This is my version of the meme “Sunday’s Post” going around the blogosphere (without the this week’s/next week’s posts) hosted by @Caffeinated Reviewer.

What I finished lately:

★ A season for second chances, Jenny Bayliss
★ Between lost and found and infinite, Kathy Kimbray
★ Best friend forever [Switch/Steam|dog rescuer dating sim]

Currently obsessing about:

★ Danger! Femmes en SPM, Catherine Bourgault
★ HannahtheHorrible [Youtube channel; disturbing things/haunted tiktoks]
★ ACNH & Sims 4 [the usuals..]

During my 8 days vacation from work, I had plenty of rest indeed; as I basically refused to get out of the house, fearing of crossing the virus that’d been on the rise lately 😅 however, I experienced a peak within my allergies.. I’d need to take my sinus caplets twice (on morning and around supper time) instead of only in the morning. I’d also ate atleast three box of kleenex in thoses days.. the increased mucus and everything making me more tired, eating at my energy 😬

Regardless of that, it was also quite productive! I have done my Bujo pages up to the end of February, aswell as a planning a full week of posts, Starting 2022 with a bang! Such a change after being mostly on the side of writing block and struggling these past months, a break was just what I needed it seems- I kept getting ideas to write left and right 🥰 I’ve also started drafting a mini-review post to come up whenever i’d finish reading and kept updating my bookstagram every few days too.

Although I haven’t been one to keep up on exercising, that’s something I’ve been doing throughout my vacation aswell; in intervals of 2-3days. I’m quite proud on that front, it’s so unusual for me to stick with it! Having a neutral view of my body, you’d understand that the promise of losing weight isn’t one i’m particularly fond of following.. as I don’t have any issues with how “heavier” i’m being to start with 😅 However this time has been driven from how my legs would hurt after working so long on my feet all the time.. so i’d want to get them worked up to possibly avoid that- as it was to the point where I’d have trouble sleeping; not only because of the pain, but because i’d have two dogs between them restraining me. And that seems to be working so far !! 👏🏼

Despite being cosy at home and all that, I’ve been okay with going back to work; seeing my friends and favorite customers again!! My only fear has been toward what state i’d find my workplace in .. 😂  I’m coming back to a rather chill schedule, only being from 1 or 2 until 8pm — so I don’t have to wakeup super early or anything ahah which is good.

As y’all know, i’m a pretty anxious person, as of which I tend to like having “patterns” or habits where Iknow what I should do in my more productive days. I’m not much of a spontaneous being, however all the “We must do X” that I create for myself all the time end up suffocating me 😅 That had been the case with my habit trackers- I liked having an idea of things that I shouldn’t forget doing, however it ended up creating more stress on me because it never felt enough.

I would kick myself for not reading or following my blogging duties every day; and although I know exercising 3times a week is better than not doing anything, it didn’t felt enough. I’d need to workout 4 or 5times instead, no time to rest (that remained true when I was doing 10hrs shifts, or even 6 days out of seven).

So I decided to be more kind to myself in 2022, the first thing that got out was the habit tracker. I replaced it with a “memo/reminder” square instead, where I’d write the dates I’ve worked out to have the details in another separate notebook per exemple. It had been my first week with this.. and it does feel wierd, but so freeing at the same time aswell!

Though to be honest, I also feel like idk what to do?? Specifically on off days, which I ended up having 4 in a row (ended one week with 2, starting the other with 2). As I don’t have my “Checklist” anymore 😅 I remind myself to often check my website on comments with the Commentluv to go back on theirs, and also trying to find more french bloggers…
