The Nerdy and the Dirty ~ B. T. Gottfred ☆ Review

Good morning!

This book may or may not have been bought 1-2years ago because the cover was so appealing! Simplistic.. but so pretty too. And then other books caught my attention, and yeah.. it took the back burner for a while 🙈

I picked it up although I wasn’t so sure I wanted to read it right now – my first January read has been such a good one – I didn’t wanted to scrap it up, you know.

Goodreads’ page

5 / 5 stars

I was kinda worried with Benedict’s first chapters.. He was just so stiff and plain, that I was legit considering DNFing. I was telling myself; “Oh no… don’t tell me I didn’t picked the right book..” — however; I was really liking Pen’s POV, so I kept on reading.

And omg this book. It was hilarious! The chapters were small enough to allow me to read on my break at work (HEY!! More daytime reading!!) and I had to force myself not to laugh out loud at times and look like a total wierdo in the middle of my Coffee Shop 😂 Our two characters are distinctly very different from one another, which is probably one of my favorite trope! Their romance, what they’ve said, the ending.. everything was just so nice – I didn’t only laughed in my head but boy did I cried a handful lot too.

As I’m someone who regularly and casually speak about sex all the time and anywhere, It made it funnier for me and didn’t bothered me at all that it was the case in this book aswell – specially on Pen’s part; although Benedict did surprised me a few times. It is something to read such a book in public and fear someone just randomly peak over your shoulder though, ahah.
