The Valentine Day Sweetheart Book Tag
Heya everyone!
Okay- iknow valentine’s passed already.. but we ARE still in february so let’s pretend it’s okay 😅 I also just stumbled on it yesterday, on Anne With A Book’s blog from Madame Writer ; though it’s been created by Pampered Pages on Booktube.
plus it had been a while since we’ve seen a tag over here!
1. What is your favorite Valentine’s Day-themed candy?
I do love the conversation hearts! Though I completely forgot to get some this year, with working and the pandemic I just plain forgot.. 🥲
2. Do you enjoy reading romance?
I doo ! Though it’s most generally romance mixed with another genre rather than purely romance/erotica based. Love me some good love stories in everything.
3. Do you tend to read romance books throughout the Valentine’s Day season?
I’m not one to read genres based on the seasons or specific holidays.. However I either read Romance/X novels or thrillers — rarely do I read something else, so there’s one out of two chances that it’d fall on one for the Valentine Day season!
This year, I’ve been currently reading a love stories while in lockdown short stories collection.
4. Your fictional sweetheart shows up at your door with a Valentine’s Day gift. What is it?
While Madame Writer’s idea of a carton of old books was a really good one — i’d go with a bookstore giftcard so we can go book shopping together, and potentially a rose quartz crystal? I’m thinking either something small like on a neckclace OR one of thoses big & pretty sculpted ones.
5. How many romance books do you have that are written by the same author?
I only have two Romance/Chick Lit from the same author — the Cockleberry Bay’s Serie by Nicola May in ebook format.. though I still need two books from it, in which case i’m probably gonna get eventually.. (The gift of Cockleberry Bay & Christmas in Cockleberry Bay)
6. What is a romance book that made you cry?
To be frank? ALL OF THEM 🤣
Very rare do I not tear up while reading any book … yep- even if it’s a thriller … I’m an easy crier, and will cry for everything 🤷🏽♀️
7. If you could choose any place (fictional or real) to escape to for a Valentine’s Day date with your sweetheart, where would you like to go?
That’s a hard one.. Again – Madame Writer’s answer of a cosy cabin is a good option. I’d also would like to go to Cockleberry Bay, so we can have a date in her Café AND get my weeins to visit her pet store 😉 along with a nice walk with my two on the beach like Rosa did so many time through the novel with Hot.
8. DISTANCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER: What anticipated book release do you know in your heart you will absolutely love?
Listen- I’m a bad book blogger and I absolutely have NO IDEA when or which book releases are happening xd so I actually don’t have an answer for that one.. I’m sure I have more than plenty upcoming releases on my virtual wanna read shelf- but no title in particular.
9. Do you have any favorite love-themed quotes from any of the books you have read?
I MUST have one .. my problem here is that I don’t have them written anywhere specifically 😬 It’s not in my Goodread Quotes and I don’t feel like going over all the books soo ehh.. sorry I can’t give you anything specific xd
10. ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR: Do you have more books with red or pink spines?
It’s about the same actually.. only barely more pink by a spine in my bookshelf. I’d say I predominantly have Black or White spines with a chunk of color (though not enough to make a rainbow)
Tagging Clo @ CuppaClo, Sophie @ BewareOffReader, Jamsu @ jamsudreams & everybody who wants to xx
What would you wanna get as a Valentine’s day gift (bookish or not)?
Where would you escape for a date?
