To plan or not to plan May’s habit tracker?

Good morning guys!

Today we’ll have a rare bujo post that isn’t a “end of X, start of Y” shows of my pages this time!

We once discussed my problems of Habit trackers, and well.. today I have another question about them!

April hasn’t been quite the best month for productivity so far.. indeed, I was still working alot, and on the days where I didn’t, I was quite lazier than usual and more depressed/anxious.

The reason for that is mainly our not-so-kind lockdown here, because corona is not our friend (literally 😂) — My province extended the lockdown for another two weeks, so until the end of the month, but we have no literal idea of when it will actually end; so a possibility of it still going strong all of May.

I’ve actually been using my tracker; but as usual, only what i’d call my «blogging duties» and the reading ones is being good. The rest of it (brush weeins teeth, driving & doing my yoga) is quite poorly.

Which leaves me with the same problem it always did.. seeing it empty makes me even more anxious and “I should’ve done this today”, so I spiral and my mental health is even less good than it was to begin with; which is stopping me to really do anything from that point on.

On the flipside, although I kinda want to absolutely ditch it this coming month, is that i’m being anxious about not having it..

What if I completely stop doing all of thoses things? How will I know where i’m at anymore?

Ithink that what i’m gonna try for May, as I don’t need as much space to write in my weeklies anymore (as well.. not much to do nowadays 😂), I’ll just include it under my weekly spread. Probably just a small list- blog duties and reading, possibly exercicing aswell .. just because I don’t particularly like the option of removing it completely.

Did you/will you plan a tracker this coming month?
Do you have any idea on something else that I could do instead?

  1. I actually started a new bujo this week, since my previous one ended up being a little too short to finish the month of April, and I mostly did away with all of my trackers. I kept my blogging and IG growth trackers, just one one page to keep track of my weekly views / interactions. I used to have a lot of trackers for things like brushing my teeth, doing gym exercises, drinking water, walking 10000 steps… but since I got a fitbit in October, the fitbit actually tracks my sleep, steps and heart rate, and it kind of made those redundant.
I do, however, include a mini-tracker for my gym session on my weekly spreads – just a 7-days tracker to check if I had my 5 gym sessions in the week or not. It really helps keep it manageable without having the added stress of filling the whole monthly tracker page !

    1. I just did my May spreads this morning and included three little trackers at the bottom (blogging duties, exercising & reading) — and although it looks wierd and I fear I might not have enough space to write all that I want to in my days… I quite like this. Seeing seven little empty squares is FAR less stressing than seeing 30/31 of them.
Also- I somehow “forgot” to fill it in lately in the monthly habit tracker page… so hopefully that’d help too- ahaha!

Talking of new bujo… I have about a tad less of 1/4th of mine left, so i’d need one too soon (maybe July/August? September at most) 🙃 Hopefully it’d be over by then and I can go grab one and not needing to order it online xD

    1. Ohh yeah 😂 I wasn’t at all either.. until I thought about how to make it fit in my weeklies and woke up early (9-10ish) and started doing them 🤷🏽‍♀️
