Top Ten Tuesday ~ Books I DNFed

Top Ten Tuesday ~ Books I DNFed

Hey guys!

We’re a little late for this one, as I picked last week’s prompt, but we’re doing March 25th prompt; Books I Did Not Finish (DNFed) (feel free to tell us why, but please no spoilers!).

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

There’s differents reason why i’d DNF a book.. sometimes it just feels too long, the more time I spend reading a book, the more I wanna DNF it 🫣 sometimes, we might have too much words on Christian religion, or it wasn’t what I imagined it was gonna be, etc.

I have only 14 registered DNFed since I started Storygraph, it’s definately a practice I need to do more often. But here’s a few of these;

I didn’t knew I needed this, Eli Rallo (2024); Although being only 320 pages, and giving me good quotes, I just.. it was taking me SO long I gave up.

Man, Fuck this house, Brian Asman (2024); The third person POV just didn’t worked for me in this one.. it was just plain wierd.

Uninvited, Lysa TerKeurst (2024); My bad, I hadn’t read the whole synopsis, or I would’ve knew this was a religion heavy book- but the constant mention of god every 2mins was too much.

– Les grandes fraudes du Paranormal, Christian Page (2024); Way too much notions of aliens, which I’m more inclined to the ghost part of the paranormal.

– F*** eve, mon père noel s’appelle Adam! (2023); I intended to read a holiday-appropriate book.. but wasn’t in the mood for it. left it half read and didn’t felt like coming back to it later, unhauled.

L’instant présent, Guillaume Musso (2017-ish); Got lost halfway and set it aside for later, but choosed not to and unhauled.

– The night circus, Erin Morgenstern (2017?); Iknow- I REALLY wanted to enjoy that one.. but it was in a stage where my concentration was scrap. Having ithink I recall atelast 5 diffenrents POVs it was just too much. I had to discard it halfway as I was no longer following.

Which books did you DNFed and why?
Which one might be the most “hot take” ?
