Versatile Blogger Award !

Versatile Blogger Award !

Good Morning!

I’ve been nominated for this by Isabelle @ Bookwyrmbites on the 2nd of February; I figured I shall do this one as it’s been a while that i’ve given some facts about myself since we’ve gained quite lots of new people over here !

Rules;

  • If you are nominated, you’ve been awarded the Versatile Blogger Award, congrats!
  • Thank the person who gave you the award and include a link to their blog.
  • Select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly and nominate those for the Versatile Blogger Award.
  • Finally, list 7 things about yourself.

So it took me a while xD ahah as you can see, to come with some things I can tell about myself this has never been my forte; so without any more introduction, here’s my list !

  1. I WILL cry for anything; Happy, sad, pain, anger.. never underestimate my power to burst out crying out of nowhere; and specially for books or movies..
  2. I’m still questioning, but I heavily relate as being asexual; I am however not completely sure of wanting (or having the « right » to) to use that word to label myself.
  3. even though you wouldn’t realize it now, I actually couldn’t understand english until 2012; despise learning it at school since ~2004 at least.. I just couldn’t figure how someone could be fluent in two language, it didn’t made sense in my brain.
  4. Working at a sex shop was the best job i’ve ever had; It helped me alot with my mental health and i’ve learned a few things regarding how the workplace shall treat someone, which was SO different than any other workplace i’ve had in the past.
  5. I’ve always loved being in school; I used to be a grade-A student, and frankly though I have no idea what i’d wanna go into now, i’d love to go back to College/University. Specially while working at the coffee shop and see quite the lot of people studying gives me that need to go back.
  6. I had a total of 3 piercings and 3 tattoos; sadly only my nose piercing remained since 2010. My belly button piercing had to be removed as I was working at a grocery store and needed to lift heavy products, and having a habit of pulling stuff towards me with the help of my torso, it kept bumping into the piercing and it hurted. Second one was my microdermal beside my eye that had one little “feet” not properly absorbed in my skin..which I intend to re-do at some point ! The tattoos are obviously all three still in places, and i’m eager to get even more! I just don’t have the ideas yet.
  7. I despite sitting in the dark. No reasons why, I just hate it. i’m one to have ALL the the lights open at all times.

I have absolutely no idea who to tag to be honest XD so i’ll nominate all of you who are reading this right now ! ♡ Please link back to me as the person who tagged you, I truly wanna know more about you guys !

    1. Ahahah yep!
I was reading the blood prince in the middle of the living room and i started crying out of nowhere 😂😂 dad was concerned if something was happening with Alex hahahah (i was reading on my phone too)

      1. Sexuality is so confusing – which is why I think using the umbrella terms are so helpful, because oftentimes you don’t know where you fit in but you know you’re there.
I’m also bilingual so it’s always interesting to me to listen to other bilingual people. Were you living a town where your first language was mostly spoken?

        1. Absolutely !
Ah, you are too?? Neat! Yes, My native town was more up-north and therefore just across the border from the Quebec province.. so even still we went for a wedding with Alex and I needed to translate, as all the people we met [even in stores and such] were french x) (which is So wierd. as it’s the opposite where I live now).

          1. My town’s where my second language (Afrikaans) is mostly spoken and basically all my friends’ first language is my second language- so I think that’s why I just accepted being fluent? That’s why I asked if you grew up in a town where your first language was mostly spoken – as you’re more used to hearing and using your first language and I’m more used to hearing and using my second language.
Is Quebec-French different from normal French (if you know)?

          2. Ah, make sense yeah ! But my problem is that I moved from my town at 12years old.. and let that be said, english course in schools sucks in a french-based town xD hah- while over here, we are surrounded in english towns nearby so the people here are WAY more fluent in it than I ever was, with much higher english classes in schools.

Oh yeah, it’s a different french totally. Even Our New-brunswick french differ from Quebec french .. we have a international “Normal” french, that mostly all french speaker should understand, but each regions have their own dialect (metaphors, sayings, words that means different things to their people, etc..)
ie; The town i’m in currently has a thing called “Chiac”- which is speaking in both french AND english in the same sentence. Quite the mind fuck when you don’t come from here xD. My native town, near quebec, use more “old french” words and some you’d hear most from across the border (but of course, still different in a way).

          3. 12 is a really important age when discussing language and fluency.
We have that in my town! Where we speak English and Afrikaans in the same sentence 😂 it’s really interesting to me that our minds can move between understanding both languages.
I definitely agree that regions have their own dialects. Like even in South Africa (I live near Cape Town) and there’s words that we use that sound so weird and different to someone who lives in Johannesburg (up far).

          4. Iknow !!! that move between understanding both languages was THE thing I had the hardest to wrap my mind around. I just couldn’t figure how in the world..

          5. And then you feel like a failure (well I do 🤦🏻‍♀️😂) when you have to ask someone to translate a word in your second language (either to your first language or something easier) – like I’ve have 12 years of studying this language – I should know this by now!

And that moment when you have to talk – like to a cashier or to ask a question to a stranger and you don’t know which language to use and you have to wait for them to speak first 💕🤦🏻‍♀️

  1. I cry over anything and everything, I hate it because I can’t control it. I too had to take out my belly piercing and only have my nose and variety of ear piercings left lol, and I also have three tattoos with plans for more….<> are we related? jk

Thank you for sharing these things about yourself especially when it’s not something that comes to you easily. Congrats on the blogger award <3!

    1. Aww thank you!
Hahah yeaaah.. if someone dare yell at me I can’t control my tears either- which is a bad thing.. specially that I work with customers. But THANKSFULLY i havent got any that was that bad.

  2. I kind of relate to the feeling asexual but also unsure if I’m just straight and haven’t met my person? Idk it’s very weird but I think i’m somewhere on that spectrum.

    1. Well theres a term for that too! It’s called DemiSexual, which youd only get the cravings for sexual intercourse when you truly know the person (aka no « one night stands » kinda thing).
Again im not 100% sure of it.. but reading about it sure makes sense to me and like.. I just dont feel anything? Though it’s not unexistant, asexual actually have LOTS of different degrees xD from sex-repulsive up to occationnal sexdrive and such

      1. Yeah I’ve heard of that but it’s not like I know if that term applies to me because I’ve never experienced it? And yeah I get what you mean it’s a pretty broad spectrum when you actually think about it 😛

        1. Mmhmm, same! Could be a medication side effect too for me ..but im so not gonna mess with my completely fine mental health that took forever to fix to find out 😎

  3. heyyyy I’m also a crier! character death in a book, frustration at my own stupidity, super-wholesome commercial … you name it. it’s quite a time. and sexuality can be so tricky to figure out – but I generally stand by “If you self-identify this way, you are valid and you can absolutely use the label for yourself if you want to”! 💕

    1. it is ! and the worst part is that.. nobody can even TELL you what it is as you are the only one feeling it, you know ? like, we aren’t totally alone in general, but alone in our shoes with it; so we are on our own in a way. (ex; my surrounding doesn’t really know about it ? like, my mom and my bestfriend – they aren’t quite of “internet people”)
      Thank you xx
