Watching animes with him or alone?
Good morning !
It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had some kind of conversation post around anime over here.
This time, the topic is upon if we prefer watching anime cosily wrapped alone or if we rather watch it snuggled with another person (in my case, Alex)
Although I’ve watched a few animes before, a long time ago, Alex has really been the Anime person in our couple. Before I really started to watch more of them myself, he would show me some episodes here and there of the newer ones he was watching and was gonna review on the blog.
And then all changed when he showed me Seven Deadly Sins! (here’s my review) — As we don’t live together it’s kind of hectic to watch something truly together; but so far we have watched few episodes of Seven Deadly Sins, and the whole first season of One Punch Man; his favorite anime.
My favorite Pro about watching it with him is that he will most probably be ahead than me – So he’d always pause and ask me if I got everything and need him to explain, which i’d gladly take on some occasion 😂 and I mean, an extra excuse to cuddle isn’t refused either, ahah. Also, what he shows me might not always be something that I would’ve necessarily picked on my own, which I end up liking anyway.. and sometimes even obsessing over it, like with Seven Deadly Sins *aherm*
Although, I feel like i’m able to concentrate more on it on my own sometimes. Just like the feeling i’d get with reading, everything around dissapear and i’m able to really jump into the anime – though don’t mean i’d understand all the details and not be left confused over some stuff. I’m also not the movie/binge-watching person .. after a while i’m getting bored or sleepy – time to do something else; which he can finish a whole anime in like 20hours ? Yeah.. that isn’t my thing, I much rather get 3-4episodes per day rather than a whole serie (iknow.. im wierd on that point)

It’s been a couple of years now since I’ve gotten into anime. I actually really enjoy them. I only watch with my boyfriend because he’s usually the one who initiates watching. So far I’ve enjoyed all the ones we’ve watched. We usually watch with english dub.
Same 😂😂 though he prefer sub, wed watch dub more often. We just started my hero academia yesterday

Oh glad to hear you’re enjoying it. My boyfriend started watching One Punch Man and that show is actually pretty funny and I guess somewhat superhero like.

I haven’t watched anime is so long, but I always remembered enjoying dubbed over subbed (even though some people are super hardcore advocates of subbed!!) I think I lean more towards Alex’s side where I enjoy binge-watching it over the course of a few days because I get super into it!
Yeaah im just not able to stand doing the same thing for as much time – as of which im not a fan of movies or tv shows either (probably for the same reason) after a while I lose my focus xD
I do prefer dub aswell!! Though Alex would be one of thoses sub advocate .. *aherm*

Though he do love reading aswell.. it’s not as « deep » as us, in the way that he isn’t constantly reading and need something to REALLY attracts him to read the books. While we just keep on devouring books after books constantly. I was really pleased when he was reading supermarket (he did a review on it!!) and demanded to see him reading ahaha 😂😂 has I never saw him reading.
for me i find when it comes to watching anime alone i usually skip over it and choose to watch smething else so i can multitask. bc i cant read subs and do other things.

same, most of the time i wanna game so xD im paying less attention to it… so i usually watch like 2episodes before bed & reading
