What you are looking for is in the library ~ Michiko Aoyama ☆ Book Review

Good morning,

Second book finished of February, I opted for the french version of What you are looking for is in the library (aka La bibliothèque des rêves).

Keep or unhaul? Keep!

This book is so inspiring! At first I would’ve categorized it as alike to the « midnight library » without the harshness of MC’s suicide.. but that’s not quite the same. While they are similar in the message given; ML focus on parallel lives where this one gently nod you into actually leading onto your dreams, and changing your own life.

The chapters by themselves are longer than my usual tastes, but they all focus on a different character; having different dreams, situations, etc.. while all being closely relating to each other!

I specially loved the librarian character. While she had a distinct « wierder » apparence, I loved how she never judged the characters and always encouraged their dream. Even more in the first story when she asked the character why she thought a clothing shop vendor wasn’t important.

Have you read this one?
