You know me well ~ Nina LaCour & Davis Levithan ☆ Audiobook Review

Good morning!

It had been a while since i’ve borrowed a book from my library now, and even longer since I picked an audiobook! After exploring and listening quite a few extrait, I settled for finally picking up this one that I had put on my virtual wanna read shelf for a good while 😅

My audiobook copy was read by Matthew Brown & Emma Galvin.

While this book have both a M/M & F/F pairing, this story is so much more than a love story. It’s a story based on friendship; mainly about Mark & Kate new friendship, where they just.. understand eachother more than anyone else in their life have, despite having just met. They instantly create that strong bond that end up making them realize where they stand with their other relationships .. How someone you just met, even platonic, can shake your whole word and make everything change.

Furthermore, it’s about coming of age and finding yourself. That means to stop running away & hide, and be brave enough to try- for the end result may surprise you sometimes. Having the courage to step in and take the lead to decide for yourself, and what you wanna do in life. With ofcourse all the firsts in life and awkwardness of them 😅

This was a refreshing read, and I really enjoyed the duo-narration of the audiobook too. Somehow, I picked a book matching somewhat what i’ve been going through right now ; being in love with a close friend (or bestfriend), that although you two have been “fooling around” with each other.. the love isn’t reciprocated- and you get to have the reality of it slapped in your face. Aswell as needing to step out of some things that don’t benefit you anymore.
