Good morning, everyone!
I’m a native french speaker, and as I prefer to read in French aswell as having found some french bloggers to follow, it happens that I see books translated that i’m used to see in their english counterpart.. and every. time. it just feels wierd to me 😅
Some are only a change in wording to be translated in French while the cover remains unchanged.. while some do get a revamp of the cover entirely. I had been wanting to take a look at Christmas novels covers, though sadly I could only ever find three.. even if I went through ALL my wishlist trying to find more; they either didn’t had any french translations, or they had the same covers – and let’s be real it’s no fun when it does.
(1-Wishlist / 2-AAPI month / 3- LGBTQ+ / 4- Pretty french covers)
♢ 10 Blind dates [SG]
Starting by the one that I actually read; Though the french version match the sequel quite alot.. i’m gonna say the english is still better looking to my eyes.
♢ The holiday Swap [SG]
First off, not a fan of how much longer the title ends up in french.. which COULD be shorter 🙄 but I digress, the normal english cover always looked meh to me – so I kindof do prefer the french version for this one.
♢ The twelve dates of christmas [SG]
For this last one, again they went and changed the title a bit.. and I have to go with the english cover is prettier again.
Which one did you prefered?
Are they on your wanna read, or have you read them already?
