Bujo post & news; July & August

Good morning!

Not only am I amazed that we are in the end of our summer months already, BUT my canadian province will also lift all the Covid restriction aswell as the mask order on August 1st. To be absolutely honest, when they announced their path to the green phase in June, I was absolutely CERTAIN it was gonna fail — based off the idiots I see everyday not wearing them properly or walking around our store. But look at that, it’s here 😳

Although fully vaccinated, I won’t be removing it right away for mother’s sake.. but the news leave me quite emotional. Somehow, I never thought we’d *actually* get out of this.

July’s overall feeling

It was quite a mixed one; I got two weeks of only working 4days with an additional day off, BUT I also got two weeks of working 5days a week too (which one ended up being 6days in a row for me, as I had taken my friend’s shift who was away for medical reasons).

Despite being a bit more tired on the last two, I felt quite much better at being myself as this month i’ve done my yoga on average 3days a week.

July’s events

♥︎ I’ve read a total of 2 books this month, both from my personal shelf & Summer’s TBR; “Our year of Maybe” & “The midnight library. As I got my friend wanting to read “the Midnight Library”, I happily loaned it to him, and i’m currently reading “Talk Bookish to Me”.

I still have 2 books standing on my Summer TBR — as for my yearly goal, I’ve read 16 books out of 20; 16 counting for #BeatTheBacklist & 1 for my audiobook challenge.

♥︎ Yet again, only one Sunday’s chat has been shared this month, Conguring, yoga & family time“. Between a rest of blogging block & general tiredness, we skipped 2 posts this month.

♥︎ Following up on last month’s news of my second Moderna vaccination dose, Ithink I absolutely psyched myself into not being sick.. as I was SO sure I was gonna feel bad like my manager & bestfriend had- that I ended up not feeling anything than a migraine the day-on aswell as some minor arm pain. 🤣 Sure, I’ll take it.

Stealing some snuggles with Sheik after vaccine.

♥︎ I finally got to see my bestfriend in person after not having seen her in like 2years because of the covid!! 🥰 She came in my region for her vacations, as they had booked one of thoses “bubbles camping”; Sad news is it was in my days I was working, as I only has Sun/Mon off, But it was still nice to have her come visit me at work aswell as going for breakfast with her and her boyfriend xx

August’s pages

I stepped away from that “scrapbooking” feeling of the past two months, to go for something more colorful; using coloring crayons this time (another thing that… I don’t do for some reason)

This particular month has always been blue for me x3 thus, I picked and indigo looking blue crayon & marker, aswell as a similar looking glitter pen. We’re getting to Sheik’s annual check-up/vaccinations aswell as the celebration of my culture (Acadian Day) this month ✨

Quote this month is
« Friendly reminder that you have no control over how other people perceive you, so you might aswell just be the person you want to be anyway ».

How was your month?
Something to look forward in August?
