Christmas in Cockleberry Bay ~ Nicola May ☆ Review

Good morning!

Phew, what a couple of weeks it has been.. that made it pretty hard for me to read, honestly 😅  But I finally finished the book! ✨

Goodread’s page

4 / 5 stars

So I actually only read two books in the trilogy (The cornershop & Meet me in cockleberry bay); however, even if things wasn’t exactly as I left off, I had no problem getting into it and the lasts things that I read did came back to mind pretty easily.

I am surprised I didn’t felt as “festive” as I thought I would, as per the name, but felt absolutely just like a “winter book” in general? As it’s timelined from end of November to Christmas, being in the lasts chapters of the book.

Though I read the other two, and I knew already, it still left me flabergasted at how good Hot is written ❤️  The little sausage dog is written as a proper character and not like an accessory. I’ll forever be grateful and scream about that one!!

It was also so great to read about my big heart Rosa again! In good humor, I had a few giggles throughout the book! Reaching the moments of Christmas however, I shed lots of tears.. just how sweet everything was, Rosa’s made up family from long-lost blood relations aswell as close friends, was marvelous ❤️

«We all want love, that’s what makes our world go round. But you’ve got to love yourself first though, mate. I found out the hard way, but when you do, I tell you – it is a revelation.»

«You may think you do at the moment, but you won’t always. Not like this, anyway. You will get stronger in yourself and won’t need anybody. You will find your own strength within and somebody to complement you and your life»
