Emoji Book tag 💁

Heey everyone, happy thursday 🙂

So, I was kinda searching for what my post of today shall be; I did had some ideas but eeeeh.. I didn’t really wanted to write them you know.. 😂 And then I thought « Hey ! it’s been a while since I did a tag ».

So upon searching for one, I stumbled upon the Emoji book tag over at readingeverynight. We all know how I love my emojis, eh ? So this one I just had to do it, heheh ..

Let’s look from my “most used” emoji off my phone, shall we?

😂 – A book that made you laugh to tears.

If I go with my current reading, I will go with “Adulting 101” from Lisa Henry; which I am currently reading in the newly released french traduction.

This book has a M/M relationship, and one of our two main character is a really clumsy 18years old; as of which the book start with him giving our second guy a blowjob in a porta-potty I mean .. what can I say ? 😂 This book has my kind of “dirty / geeky” humor, and I just love it.

 

🎶 – A book containing some kind of relation to music.

*cough* okay.. you know me, I just had to pick it. I’m sorry ! Sweet thing by renée Carlino!!

So in this one, our main character inherit his dad’s Café after his passing; which needs her to move in london and meet a pretty cute boy sat beside her on her flight there .. unknowingly that this guy will end up his roomate and the one she’ll fall for. Our main Lady, her dad AND the cute guy are musicians ! She prefers the piano, while he likes signing & the guitar.

 

😭 – A book that gave you all the feels

Okay .. I don’t quite remember the last ones who made me cry, rofl … but I know that The heart between us from Lindsay Harrel did ! but not for the same reason.

It was not a sad book at all ! It’s just that I am more sensible on the topic of organ donation, unlike other people maybe. Explained by the topic hitting so close to home, as we do have a donor’s family aswell; who allowed mom to receive a new kidney and live more happily. So reading a book of a girl having a new heart, and decide to engage on a quest to complete her donor’s checklist … It had some moment where I was just bawling 😂 Good thing mom was sleeping beside me because heh .. But it did gave me a ride in term of emotions; feeling free & like travelling aswell, not only crying hah, totally recommand the read !

 

🤷🏽‍♀️ – A book you just .. couldn’t understand.

I won’t lie here, I know this one is totally on me and not on the books itself. I attempted reading them when my mental health went to shittzle and my concentration had taken a big hit. I do plan to try again in some other time, but it just .. was WAY too over the place for my “defective brain” to get what was going on 😂

Two books for this one: Fractured by Dani Atkins and The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern ((please don’t hit me .. I know the latter is quite loved !))

 

🙀 – A book which ending you never saw coming ..

In a dark dark wood by ruth ware !! Iknow this one has some negative reviews.. but I did adored it, and nope, I totally didn’t saw it ending like that !

I finished reading at like 3am and it took me a good 2hours to sleep as I was so shocked xD Even two months later i’m still thinking about this perticular book ..

And that’s it !! I am tagging everyone else who wanna do it 🙂
