End of August, Early September

August is finally coming to an end !

This month was a particularly hard month for me, blogging wise, and it was just SO hot outside 🔥 With the humidity, it felt within the 30s degree Celcius.. and let me tell you, this is way too much for me xd

August’s Habit Tracker;

Look at all the empty squares withing the blog section 🤦🏽‍♀️ I also struggled with doing by Beach Body exercices because either I had a huge headache induced by allergies and I was half dead, or my knees was hurting and well … I didn’t wanted to fall and be unable to work xd turns out I did better than I had thought; I exerciced 4times the first week, and 3times the two following weeks! (plus that one time I did went to the real Gym with Alex).

With no surprise, I didn’t walked my dachshunds as much either; because with the temperature up in the 30s AND having black dogs … yeah no. They did walked a bit more than that as my parents took them for me a few times (working or just half-dead) but it was still in high 20s at 9pm.. it’s just in-humane.

 

What happened in August;

🔥 I finished two books; An Excuse for Murder [Review Request], aswell as When We Collided. I’m currently reading “Steeped in Love” that I have borrowed from my library, as of which I don’t expect to finish before this month ends..

🔥 My interview with Kal for “Reading around the Globe” has finally been posted !! Eeek!! While I had been looking for it every time she posted a new one, mine being posted on that day specifically [Aug 10th] surprised me 🙈 I had just finished my shift at work when I saw the tags on twitter ! Go ahead and go read my experience with reading as a Canadian, if you haven’t already xx

🔥 I started my driving online course !! There’s 12 chapters with a quizz after you completed each, and then I need to absolutely go for an in-class course of 5hours; which is scheduled on the 14th of September.. Apparently there’s only one course in french per month, and well I was already working that day in early August so it jumped to that date in september. The hours are kind of odd at 9-2pm, but xD

🔥 August 15th was my culture’s celebration day – as with every year, it’s a day for us to celebrate and make some noise. We have an event called “tintamarre”; where we march in a closed road and make some noise for about 2hours, there’s also free music shows and all kind of stuff. After the Englishs deported us in 1755, it’s our way to celebrate and show the world that our culture and our Acadie is very much alive and well; we have survived!

Last year on this date was my first time giving blood, This year I decided to get my 4th tattoo! I decided to place it on my right ankle (first one being on my right side, ahah all my other three are on my left side)  — Of course it have my Acadian Flag’s colors in it, as of which I placed them in an anchor as I come from a coastal town; so I really love the sea and I thought it was quite fitting. Lastly, I decided to add my last name at last minute; Just because I wanna keep it in one way or another after I get married .. it’s kind of silly but that way my Acadian roots aswell as my Acadian name shall remain on my body forever. (Alex isn’t acadian like I do, and i’m quite attached to my last name..)

New pages for September!!;

I decided to go for a silver & gold coloring… as of which i’m not entirely sure i’m liking it to be honest 😂 Both colors are metallic, so it was kind of a struggles to take pictures of it too.. forgive me if some are of lesser quality than usual.
