End of October, Start of November

End of October, Start of November

We are already here again!

This month ended up being really rough, so in a way im kind of happy it’s almost over 😂 Let’s hope November has greater things for us in reserve! On that note, let hop onto the post.

Habit Tracker

Good new, This system really helped me getting the anxious feeling out of the habit tracker. Bad news though- well, look at this xd A LOT got negliged this month, just because I did a whole month plus another week or two working 6days a week; so needless to say I was pretty tired, and I didn’t really got any “proper break” in-between with a normal schedule – meaning I only started to get two days off in a row last week. All beforehand I had only ONE day off before starting again.

What happened this month;

🎃 I started this month with an update onto how my October had been going so far, expressing my “over-working” and mental health.

🎃 I finished TWO books this month, by a string – I finished the second one just yesterday night. I started with The Death of Mrs Westaway that had been sitting on my shelf for quite a while, and I finally picked up and finished a Review Request I had since July; Screamcatcher Web World (review to come on the 3rd).

🎃 I participated in the Bookending Autumn event, and went a bit beyond the 3posts minimum by posting four posts yet again; which I pretty proud considering I kind of struggled this month xd
What scares you in fiction \ Fall Festival Book Photo tag \ FALLing in Love \ If you could be anything, what would you be ?

🎃 We participated into an online auction for our Canadian Dachshund Rescue, and I scored two items! The gorgeous dachshund bookmark that would be just PERFECT for pictures 😍 (you don’t wanna know how much I spent on it – but for a good cause!) and I also got a little white bowl in the form of a dachsund too.

Picture that was provided – sadly it hasn’t came yet

🎃 I’m starting my first driving class in-car with the instructor later today! I did my 5hour in-class, I successfully passed my learner’s permit and gotten my «permit 7,1» so I can drive accompagnated!! (but not between midnight and 5am ithink it is? and only one passenger) ; Some progress being done! This will be my first time driving on the road, as mom brought me to drive in a parking lot before, but not in the actual road so i’m kind of a bit scared 🙈

🎃 Lastly …. I got sick with a cold for the first time of the season already. Sore throat, runny nose, and feeling like garbage while having 6days in a row and a 10hour shift is NOT fun xD Thankfully, I took some Cold medicine and i’m feeling better already; just a bit of runny nose to go away.

Most loved post;

💀 October had Ace Awereness Week! Among others who might have gave their recs, I read Angharad @ Two Book thieves & Em @ Em’s Bookish Musings posts — check them out if you need more Ace reads in your life!

💀 Beth @ BooksNest shared about how reading can benefit our mental health.

💀 Talking of Trigger Warning, The Orang-utan Librarian posted an interesting take on it and why they are against the practice. While I was very for it myself, I find they gave solid points that I might not have thought of.

💀 May @ forever and everly conversed about realistic teens in YA, and the hypocrisy of adults reading the genre and complaining about it.

💀 Beth @ beforewegoblog did quite a handy Guide for helpful terms & links for book bloggers!

💀 Lydia @ SilverWolfReads found an alternative to goodreads, for anyone interrested!

💀 Kal @ Reader Voracious shared how she annotates her books; physically AND digitally.

I went for a Metallic Blue & Glittery Fushia kind of color — Which ended up being quite pretty.

I wanted this to be on ONE page but I kind of messed up xD I removed two things as I didn’t really felt as it was needed as I put them on my weeklies anyway (Book finished/dnf & New posts). I also allowed more space to write the date around the square, and left much bigger room for thoses who had been combined.

Went for a “Sweather weather” theme for the blog planning! I didn’t really had any other ideas – and because Canada, cold will be with us quite quick so I figured it would be quite fitting. I failed yet again by not filling the page as much as I wanted 😂 so I did little doodles to take a bit more space as it looked kinda wierd..

So much better with straight lines, isn’t it ? Xd I decided to just take the whole page and not have an “outline” so it allow me more space to write.

Happy Halloween & be safe!
How was your month?

  1. Wow, you worked a lot! I hope your schedule isn’t as tight in November and you get more days off. I did four BEAutumn posts too, the only one we have in common is the photo festival book tag on which I took a spin. Hopefully we both get to read more books in November, because October was a disappointing reading month for me too.

    1. I hope so too! So far I do have my two days off a week.. but I also have a 10hrs shift on each of the two first week 😂 so we’ll see ..

      Hurray for both accomplishing BEAutumn with one extra 👏🏼👏🏼 May this month be a better reading one indeed, have a good November ❤️
