First Lines Friday 10/04/23 πŸ’€

Good morning!

Time for another first line friday on a Thursday πŸ˜„

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted byΒ @Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines? If you want to make your own post, feel free to use or edit the banner above, and follow the rules below:

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book

Β« A single beam of light rotating through the curtains told me my brother had just pulled into my driveway. When I walked outside, the first thing I noticed was that Michael’s left headlight was out. The second was the blood. Β»

– Do you know this one? Hint, it’s a 2022 new release!

It’sΒ “Everyone in my family has killed someone” !Β Gotta admit I haven’t read this one yet, but it’s on my list!
