My review ;

2 / 5 stars = Did not finished; good plot, but not my genre.

✘ The chapters are quite long.. which for me can take two nights to finish one, as I tend to fall asleep before it end.

✘ “Not quite sure” moment, as we get to read a novel inside this novel .. and the one being read by the main characters is more an historical book in Hitler’s period so far, which is not my type of read at all. The book is quite descriptive of the pain also..

✘ However, really curious to get to know whom is father is ! .. and if it will end up having a possible love story along the way ?

The basic plot of this story was really interresting, and I would’ve really wanted to know more about it .. but my problem with this is just how that particular book he brought her to read was Historical for starter, which isn’t my cup of tea, but even more – it was begenning with Hitler’s concentration camps and were really descriptive; to jump to politic/card gambling for money .. which again lose me completely and thoses long chapters where it is involved was a pain for me to read. As she think Forrester’s book may tell her something about her own father, it’s parts of the story I don’t think I can really skip. Which makes everything even worse.

I think if you know or are more into Historical/politic than me, probably this book would be more enjoyable than it was for me; as you could probably understand thoses part better, while it left me “eh” and even a bit lost.
