My gaming year in Review (aka why I won’t reach my 2023 reading goal..)

Nintendo has released the “Your year in review“, much like other platforms like spotify, but let’s talk about this one, you’ll see the very reason why I’ll be SO. CLOSE. but probably won’t reach my goal of 40 books read in 2023 😅 That’s okay, we’ll try again next year

I’ve apparently only played 17 games in 2023, for a total of 666hrs of gaming! Without much surprise, TOTK, New horizons & SoS A wonderful life were my top 3 this year.
however.. the gap of time played y’all 😂 Again without surprise, TOTK has a bit less than HALF of my whole year playtime at 287. hours.! And then you have my 3rd place being at a mere 35hrs.
This is where it’s getting interresting.. as it correlate with when my reading got absolutely destroyed 😅 After TOTK’s release in May, my gaming has DOUBLED in those two months, within which I barely read anything as I was properly obsessed with this game..
Very obviously TOTK is my pick for favorite game of the year! Good thing we don’t have my yearly Sims 4 playtime too because BOI.

We only have so much time, sometimes we have to choose between reading and gaming. As long as you had fun, which it sounds like you did! These look like fun, chill games. I play mostly on Steam, and I don’t think it says how many hours total, but apparently I had a 41-day streak lol.
It really should do though, as everywhere else does 😅 sadly it hasn’t been the year of steam for me- as everything that i’d wanted didn’t came out for mac yet.
