Pokemon; Let’s go Eevee ☆ My first impression

Good morning!

I have treated myself with the Switch Lite recently, aswell as Zelda; Link’s Awakening & Pokemon; Let’s go Eevee. I’ve been a pokemon fan since I played Pokemon yellow and blue when I was about 5 years old (same as zelda) – So I thought to share with you guys my first impressions onto what i’ve played of Let’s Go Eevee so far!

This was one of the first games I knew and was really excited for when it came out on the “regular” switch, but alas I didn’t had the funds for the switch at that point. So when I saw the Switch lite was announced and fixed both my problem by being a handlehand only AND a few hundreads cheaper, I was very pleased!

♦ As i’m writting this, I’m going onto the third gym at Vermillon City – Right after getting the TM from the S.S Anne.

 

Here’s my team so far ! I’m probably gonna switch that pidgeotto at some point but, that’s what I have choosen to keep for now.

One thing I like is that you don’t need to walk to the nearest poke-center to check the PC anymore! You have a pokemon box right in your bag, so it’s really easy to pick and choose which pokemons you wanna keep or not keep on yourself.

 

The catching of the pokemons changed from the older generations aswell – Now, you can see the pokemons walking around in front of you as you run into them (I gotta say.. seeing a Mr.Mime walking in a grass patch for the first time is kind of terrifying 😂 and I got surprised at how big some of them actually were!); no fights are required to catch them anymore, it’s based solely on a “Pokemon Go” looks, where you can throw berries or balls at it while it jumps around and block.

While I kind of like this, as it’s much more easier to get the pokemon you want by just seeing them walk around; what I don’t like is that you can’t fight them anymore for XPs.. Your whole team only gets XPs when you catch said pokemon successfully. And as i’m one who don’t really “catch them all” in the first place – having more than one of each pokemon kinds of bothers me. The other way to get XPs is of course to fight other trainers.. so that’s kind of limiting if you want to level up your pokemons before a gym :/

I got so shocked that you can actually catch starter pokemons now ! Bulbasaur can be caught in the Viridian Forest, Squirtle and Charmander can be given to you after you caught X number of pokemons .. I’ve even encountered Alola versions via trades with NPCs!!

 

Of course I absolutely love the fact that it’s a “rebuild” based on one of my starter games, involving the same map & pokemons, with some little upgraded changes. I’m however kind of bummed that my Gen 2 Espeon can’t be obtained though — which is my favorite ever since it came out. Just imagine an espeon just chillin’ on your head !!! 😍

 

Also.. can we just look at how pretty the battle screen is hen you fight Team Rocket, now?! I love it and kind of want it as my phone wallpaper.. ahah!
