It’s been a while since I’ve been saying I wanted to read this book (atleast since I started blogging.. *aherm*), doubled with “it’s been a while” since i’ve read and reviewed a book IN PAPER!! 😅 As you can probably see in the picture, i’ve read it as «Silence Radio» in french; published in 2017 by “AdA inc”.

Ça fait un bout de temps que je dit que j’avais envie de lire ce livre (au moins depuis que jai starter le blog.. *aherm*), doublé d’un “ça fait un bout” depuis que j’ai lit et reviewer un livre DE PAPER!! 😅 Comme vous pouvez surement le voir dans la photo, je l’ai lit en tant que «Silence Radio» en français; publié en 2017 par “AdA inc”.

First, I gotta say i really enjoyed the way the book was written; short chapters, with a combination of “regular” novel writting aswell as “chat” based, and even little pages here and there as the podcast’s episodes. Both Aled and Frances was characters I got attached to, and could even see some of my old self in Frances; A grade-A student who end up not being totally what she shows the world, and maybe not so happy either.

After reading a couple of pages, their relationship gave me a «Finch & Violet» from all the bright places vibe .. besides the fact Frances and Aled aren’t in love with each other, they just have that fresh air of doing what they want and just .. be together and have fun.

The more I went into the book, the less I was able to stop myself of reading .. and when everything went to hell after their identity has been found out after the podcast has gone viral, I was totally torn apart .. While his reaction was somewhat “acceptable” in the circumstances, I felt all the pain that Frances was feeling; and only hoping for one thing. For both of them to be like they were before all this happened.

 

Dabord, je doit dire que j’ai vraiment aimée la façon que le livre était écrit; de court chapitres, avec une combinaison d’écriture dite “régulière” de roman autant que de version “chat”, avec quelques pages ici et la en tant qu’épisodes du podcast. Aled et Frances, tout deux était des personnages auxquels je me suis attachée, et j’ai meme pu voir mon ancienne moi en Frances; Une étudiante a succès qui n’est finalement pas totalement ce qu’elle présente au monde, et peut-etre pas si heureuse non plus. 

Après avoir lu quelques pages, leur relations m’a parue des airs de «Finch & Violet» de tous nos jours parfaits.. hors le fait que Frances et Aled ne sont pas amoureux l’un de l’autre, ils ont juste cet air frais de faire ce qu’ils veulent et juste.. etre ensemble et d’avoir du plaisir.

Plus j’avançait dans ma lecture, moins que j’arrivait a m’arreter de lire.. et quand tout est parti en cacahuète après que leur identité a été découvert après que le podcast a été viral, J’ai été completement démolie… Tant sa réaction était apeuprès “acceptable” dans les circonstances, j’ai ressentit toute la douleur que Frances ressentait; et j’espèrait seulement une chose. Qu’ils soit tout les deux comme avant que tout ça arrive.
