Ranking my favorite Ruth Ware’s novels

Ranking my favorite Ruth Ware’s novels

Good morning! 🥰

Ruth Ware has now been an instant buy for me ever since i’ve started with “In a Dark Dark Wood” (french translated); I’ve mainly LOVED every book that i’ve read from her, and is diving into her recently published one that I had yet to read, The It Girl.

If you haven’t read any of hers yet, and have been wanting to, I highly suggest you pick one up! Here’s my personal selection of which ones I had liked more than others; while two of them is significantly on the bottom of my list, the top 3 is a bit harder to form – so keep in mind that it might change a little.. I had to go by elimination starting from the bottom, ranking stuff is quite harder for me, Not my forte 😆

1. The Lying Game [SG]
The strong relationship between the four girls really left an imprint on me; although it had been years AND they all went separate ways, they always stood by each other not to divulge their sister’s secret.

2. The Death of Mrs. Westaway [SG]
Another one of her twists that blew me away, but again made total sense once revealed. I still think about how she implanted the use of tarot cards.

3. One by One [SG]
I was pretty impressed by the app she created in this one- and loved the dual POV! Reading it in the middle of winter with a snowstorm out really helped the atmosphere!

4. The Woman in the Cabin 10 [SG]
The start of the book started a bit wierd, with something totally unrelated but that helped us figure out the state of our MC; One that I definately wanna reread, but didn’t really marked me particularly.

5. In a dark dark wood [SG]
While I really appreciated that one- the atmosphere of the house is still very vivid in my mind, 4 years later!! There is other novel that I think about more on the daily, pushing this one a bit down the ladder.

6. The turn of the Key [SG]
While the reveal wasn’t what I had originally thought, I found that one to be So. Slow. Which isn’t personally something that I enjoy- we definately saw a lot more into the caregiving routine of the MC than I would’ve liked.

Currently reading; The It Girl [SG]

Have you read any of her work yet, which ones did you prefer?
