Sunday’s Chat; Quite en eventful start of September

Hello everyone!

It has been since last year’s July that we had one of those posts.. but quite a LOT happened in the last two weeks of September, and i’ve been in need of talking about it.

The month had started pretty great, I had taken around 9days of Vacation from work. We had taken a little 3days ladies trip in Rivière du Loup, Quebec with my mother & godmother- wasn’t quite as planned, but we saw beautiful areas and I got some new clothes. Coming back my parents had a 3 days get-together in Nova Scotia and then we were to go see my bestfriend & baby for the remaining 2days.

Halas.. as my parents were coming back from their little vacay together we got the news that my grandma was at the hospital, and she wasn’t gotta get better. All 11 of their kids started planning to go see her; though she was 92 it was quite a surprise. It started with her liver enzymes being off, then they sent her back as they needed the bed.. day after returning she fell and did a blood clot in her lungs, followed by an aneuvrism.

She passed on Monday, when I was due to go back to work on Wednesday. I had only a day back before I needed my boss to give me Thursday & Friday off so I could attend her funeral Salon & church funerals (thanksfully they were understanding and lovely).

 

In the same timing, someone at work got fired – needed us to cover for her shift. Thus then me taking a 10hr shift & a morning one, adding to my 5-days regular nights coming back from my family emergency. I did a total of over 50hrs in 7 days straight 🙈 My friend also needed off from starting a new medication, so I was being put with teenagers instead for my closing.. and that was probably the hardest of the whole situation, as I was here working 3x harder to still going home 30mins later.

 

Adding to that whole scheme going on, miscellenous dog things; My 8 year old girl somehow lost a front teeth? Now it’s not usual for adult dogs to loose a teeth like that.. adding to the mystery, she was only a grade 2- her front teeth being immaculate and the tartar buildup being more in the back teeth where you can’t reach properly. It’s true that their front teeth isn’t holding by much.. she doesn’t looks to be hurting or anything, the tooth looks full with the root, not broken like usual, and it didn’t even left a hole in her gum.

She started her Cartrophen injections for her joints last friday- just coming back from the vet her brother came home from outdoor with an open wound behind his front leg 🤦🏽‍♀️ Calling back the vet, it was! Another mystery as to what caused that, he did got the same open wound just a few years ago, maybe 3-4yrs, again coming from outside but that time on one of his butt cheeks. His appointment is set on monday morning to have it shaved/tested for infection and then going back for Sheik’s second injection on Friday. 🫣

 

 

Let’s hope that was everything September had in reserve for us, and that the second part of the month will go by much smoother!
