Sunday’s Chat — Return to normalcy.. almost

Good morning!

This is sort-of the “follow-up” from the first Sunday Chat we had this month, titled «The return of the Covid».

 

* This is my version of the meme “Sunday’s Post” going around the blogosphere (without the this week’s/next week’s posts) hosted by @Caffeinated Reviewer.


 

The outbreak of Oct. 7 is now officially handled in my region; although i’ve seen a good chunck of people not wearing their masks outside like we had to.. as of Friday morning, we are now back onto the Yellow phase (Stage 3) where we originally were, couple of weeks back. However, the region up-north is going worst and didn’t followed us onto the second phase.. 🤷🏽‍♀️ [Despite both of our regions going back at the same time.. theirs worsened while ours got under control]

 

★ After the Dachshund lunchbox & LED pink collar, i’ve yet again won two items from our items fundraisers for the dachshunds in need 😄 One more monopoly for my collection (dachshund themed!!) aswell as some charmed aroma candles/bathbombs that i’m gonna give to mother, but I get to keep the rings as they didn’t had her size and she’s not wearing much rings anyway..

★ I noticed a change in my behavior lately.. going back to having my “dad’s bad character” after being on medication for 5 years — which is a behavior I had absolutely lost since my teenage years. I’m not entirely sure if it’s good or not xd but I definately noticed that i’m now able to speak my mind again, instead of absorbing it all and say nothing. Especially at work- with my new autority position, and the OK given by my manager to call them out, I’m now able to speak out onto what I know is not okay instead of not saying anything (sponsored by my family’s too-strong-for-our-own-good work ethics).

 

★ I’m still pushing through my reading, slowly but surely, and hopefully having my review up for “Halo” tomorrow. Although i’m invested in it being the last novel (!!) or my beloved serie, the fact that it’s a fantasy AND much longer than it’s peers is absolutely not helping my cause right now. 😅

 

★ Melatonin pills by itself wasn’t working on my body, which made it impossible to try to fix my sleeping schedule; I was flip-flopping for HOURS trying to fall asleep and then was still tired waking up/going to work at 1pm.. One of my coworker that used to be a flight attendant pre-Covid (so dealing with intense insomnia & timezones jumps all the time) then recommended me caplets of Melatonin + Theanine.

So i’ve been trying that for a couple of days now, and omg it’s so much smoother than it used to be to fall asleep — and I wake up much more energized and no longer tired at work (except on the days where my sinus is giving me troubles) so i’m happy ! Hopefully this can help fixing my sleeping schedule into what I want it to be 😌

  1. I’m glad the COVID outbreak near you has now calmed down. We’re still in a regional lockdown where I live, and I can’t really see us coming out of it any time soon. I’m really hoping this isn’t going to carry on over Christmas!

    1. Yeah.. we are still not out of the woods; I can see us going back and forth for a while. But so far all the cases are up north, so we good! With how people are refusing to behave, it will probably carry indeed 😐 I wouldn’t be surprised.
