It sounded better in my head ~ Nina Kenwood ☆ Audiobook Review

Morning peeps!

As it’s been a while since i’ve read my first audiobook of the year, I thought it was more than due for me to rent another one from my libby!

As it always take me ages to settle on something, the voice is really important for it to keep my attention, so I always juggle to find one that I don’t find too annoying and that I can actually listen to for a while 😅 I also wanted some kind of romcom/romance.. and eventually settled for this one.

Goodread’s page

5 / 5 stars ❤️❤️

I was quite unsure of this book at the beginning.. because we start right onto the announcement of her parent’s divorce. As of which she can’t believe it- they’ve been hiding it from her for 10months and she didn’t saw anything.

Then it got to the good part; I was really loving the “falling in love for the bestfriend’s brother” (Nathalie being the third wheel; as within their bff trio, Zach & Lucy are together)

Nathalie do struggle with the same fears that I do; not feeling worthy enough, or actually being unloveable, because of the state her skin was in. She’s scared of giving in to love, as she’s dead terrified of being hurt. Of being in a state of vulnerability, going way beyond the physical appearance.

The audiobook copy was a really good choice, as at some point in the story, when the brother told her that he did wanted to kiss her I DIED. It was as if I was right there, happening to me, and I felt the butterflies flipping within my stomach. Absolutely dreamy!

With her fears and this being a teenage love story though, it’s bound to be hectic. She’s just learning the ways, and not fully trusting her judgements, mixed with a conflicted younger brother trying to save his bestfriend from the playboy he knew his brother as; it all makes for a big mess.

Love has it’s ways of bringing two absolutely opposite people together. And it always wins; the purest of things 🥰
