The Gamer Tag!

Do you know what? We are gonna do things a bit differently today! We’ve done book tags and more “personal” tags in the past; but never a gaming tag !

As we all know I’m a big gamer here (well duh, we now have a gaming category 😂), let’s try this out! It also has been quite a while since i’ve done a tag.

I found this over on Hannie’s blog, and wasn’t tagged but surely found this quite a nice one – so I stole it.

1. What is your all-time favorite video game?

Legend of Zelda, of course!

 

2. What is your current favorite video game?

This probably won’t surprise you; Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. I’ve been hooked on it ever since it first came out. I restarted it like a MILLION times now.

 

3. What is your favorite video game genre?

Simulations and adventure. Oh, and also thoses “never-ending” typed ones..

 

4. How long have you been playing video games?

Me and my uncle who used to babysit me only have 16years apart; so I basically always been playing as far as I remember.

 

5. What’s the first game you ever played?

It’s a tie of multiple games (all my uncle’s, of course) : Zelda Ocarina of time and Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64, aswell as Pokemon Blue/Yellow, Zelda Oracles (of ages and of seasons) and Zelda Link’s awakening on the gameboy color. I can’t remember at all which of thoses came first.

 

6. What game have you clocked the most hours into?

Most probably Zelda Breath of the Wild from how many time I restarted that since the launch and Zelda Ocarina of Time with how much I played it growing up.

 

7. What’s your longest gaming session?

A whole day 😂  I’d start as soon as I wake up and finish at like 10-11pm .. Usually Breath of the Wild or sims ..

 

8. Who is your favorite game developer?

I am not the most connaissor of game developer here, but considering all I own is Nintendo .. that’s a clear indication. 🤭

 

9. Who is your favorite hero character from a game?

Enough said. [Related; my Halloween Costume/Cosplay]

 

10. Who is your favorite villain?

Oh, IKNOW! the Yigas !!

This one took me quite a while xD As I don’t like Ganondorf more than any other one, he’s just there. but Yigas! Omg, yes. Basically Sheikahs gone wrong – supposed to serve the royal family but decided to pay allegence to Ganondorf instead. Sounds great, right ? except they are a bunch of idiots 😂 First time you cross them in BOTW you get all impressed and “OMG IM SCARED” but in the end.. they just get a pain in the butt showing off everywhere. 

Funniest part is that they are CRAZY for bananas, basically all they eat. and you neatly by-pass them in their camp by throwing bananas on the distance x) They leader King Kohga isn’t much better — But I do like them.

 

11. Who is your most hated character of any game?

Just like books, I honestly don’t really hate any character …

 

12. What gaming systems do you own?

I have my old GameCube, my Wii U and my 3ds. Wanting a switch SO BAD now since the new games’ being talked about at E3 but alas.. not yet.

 

13. What was your first game system?

the good ol’ Nintendo 64 – I borrowed the hell out of it to my uncle.. hehe.. but the very first one I owned was a green gameboy color that he gifted me.

 

14. What’s your favorite gaming system and why?

It used to be the 3ds, as I love to be able to take it everywhere as it’s a handlehand gaming system. Though I let it quite on the side lately for my Wii U; advantaged to be played on my BIG TV, or on it’s own screen when I need to share said TV. though Disadvantage as you need to stay relatively close to Wii U base or it disconect.

 

15. Do you prefer to play male characters or female characters?

Honestly I don’t really care.. if you give me the choice i’d play as a female but if not it’s not that big as a deal. I’ve always played as a boy and man, whatever 😂

 

16. Do you follow walkthroughs, or do you play through on your own?

I always try to play through on my own but goddamit, some of Zelda’s enigmas are just SO. MUCH. that I end up giving up at some point .. aswell as some little things like quests and locations of things. (BOTW was BAD for that. the damn little korok seeds..)

 

17. Have you ever been to a gaming convention?

Not yet, but i’d really love to ! Aswell as a cosplay convention!

 

18. What game are you most excited to come out in the future?

SO MANY!!!! Of course the Breath of the wild Sequel (!!!), Zelda Link’s awakening, Animal Crossing New Horizon, there’s also Pokemon Sword and Shield too.. (all on the ONE console I do not own, merp.)

 

19. What’s your best memory of a video game?

Like I said above, my uncle showed me the gaming world. My most favorite memory has always been when I was about 4-ish (wasn’t going to school yet) and he would babysit me and we would play Ocarina of Time on his N64 together. Aka, I would play around Hyrule and do minigames and such, aswell as the first spiritual stone in the Deku tree. I progressively could do the second one aswell, in the mountain – but always got stuck to Jabu Jabu’s Belly.

My uncle would then do the first three dungeon’s bosses to beat them, and then all the adult link part of the game while I watched him play. The Gerudo’s desert quest of saving the carpenter guys always was my favorite, aswell as roaming around the zora’s domain!

I didn’t played for a few years before I moved out of town, and afterward my uncle had sold his N64 so I couldn’t “steal” it anymore.. first time I replayed was in 2009 when it got out again for the 3ds and MAN! That feeling of completing that first temple as adult link instead of having my uncle do it for me was just surreal..

 

20. What’s your worst memory of a video game?

Nope, none. All good memories with video games ! It’s as much my escape as reading is.

 

21. Which video game character do you see yourself as, or if you had to be represented by a video game character, who would it be?

Alright so; No it isn’t Link this time! She’s a character of the Hyrule Warrior “Spin-Off” game on the 3ds (She do not appear on the Wii u version) – Linkle.

As you may see with how she’s dressed, She think of herself as one of Link’s reincarnations. Plus; She have a TERRIBLE orientation sense, despite her compas 😂  which just screams me, I once got lost using a map.. *sigh*  She’s also super nice to play with her crossbows, hell i’d wanna use that!

PS; yep, iknow this mostly had consisted of Zelda all over, among with other nintendo games as that’s basically all that I play along with Sims 4, Stardew Valley, and a few other stuff. For the longest time I didn’t felt like a “proper” gamer as I didn’t played the hardcore ones out there and stook to mostly “kiddish”. All and any person playing a videogame of any kind IS a gamer, period. No need to like or play a videogame in specific. 😊

Bonus; Have a picture of my tattoo before you go too before you go! (yes, I have shorts on). This is on my left thigh; The Sheikah eye symbol as my female Doxie is named Sheik, Kafei’s pendant wrapped around it as my male doxie is named Kafei, and the three spiritual stones from Ocarina Of Time because A) I grew up with that game and always loved thoses stones and B) it represent the triforce in another form: Courage, Power and Wisdom.
