The last of August ~ Brittany Cavallaro ☆ Audiobook Review

Good morning,

This year, I had given myself a goal of reading more than two audiobooks- and here I am, in March, with my first one of the year! Which also count as my “free audiobook space” on my Spring TBR.

Reading an audiobook always make me fear of not grasping the story.. I either listen while gaming or just closing my eyes- and i’m always just so scared of spacing out and not actually remember what i’ve listened to.. 😅  In this case, I went straight to Book 2 without reading the first one, so that didn’t helped me ahah

Although I didn’t had the « background » of the characters with their 1st case, aswell as what happened in their near death experience, it didn’t bothered me too much. By 60%, I was HOOKED to the both of them and rooting for them to get together already!

I loved the passages where Jamie ‘desguised’ himself as Simon and acted in a way he absolutely didn’t wanted to.. it was interesting to have his POV on the matter, and hear his thoughts/ramblings. As for Charlotte, just her way of being.. I really do love broken characters, and the way they were acting together/with each other.

I’m honestly not sure what in hell went down in the end.. or what Charlotte’s secret was that would make Jamie tear away from her- I might absolutely need to get to read the tome 3 to get to the end of this. Slightly confused and curious on the reason behind/how it will progress.
