Blogging with Anxiety; Feeling like a broken record

Blogging with Anxiety; Feeling like a broken record

Have you ever wanted to talk about something, but feeling like you had already? Although despite looking through your blog you can’t find anything similar at all?

My other “Blogging with Anxiety” posts; Feeling we’re not enough // Content Wise // Stats // Posts Paranoïa // Have I posted this before? // Can I Say that? // Missing A Post // Tags // Not a “good enough” post // Was it worth posting? // Overthinking & Paranoïa

I will admit that I often write posts in my brain before going to sleep at night; where i’d basically prep the whole thing & what I wanna say in it — that ofcourse upon writing it, I lose most of.. So maybe that can be why I feel like I might have said that already.

Other times, it might be things i’ve already said to someone in particular; maybe in the replies, or in a discord chat, or even on another blog.. Which genuinely makes no sense to be bothered by, as it’s not like everyone would’ve had seen it.

Even if it was something that I said in another post, Iknow that:

A) It’s not like everyone would read all of my posts back to back or, even if they did read it, would even remember everything at all

or B) This might be a new follower reading that has no idea what was even said in the previous posts

But yet, I still feel quite un-easy about talking about the same things.. wether it be in ramblings and/or the topic in general (for exemple YA & rereading).

Does this bother you too as a writer?
As a reader, do you even notice things like that?

  1. I’m not bothered by stuff like that in blogs at all! <3 In book I do pick up on repetition, but that's mainly because I read quickly, so if it happens in chapter 1 and later in chapter 10, I take note. But you're totally right, in blogging, people typically don't read back to back, they just dip in and out as time allows.

    1. Yes in books it can be different, thank you ❤️I always struggle with little things like that 🙊

  2. I struggle with this as a blogger so much!! I always feel like I am talking about the same things, and will go back and check my old posts to make sure I at least word things differently. Honestly I don’t think it’s worth it, because I *know* I don’t often pick up on these things when it’s other bloggers doing it, but it makes me feel better.
Another thing that bothers me is when I feel like I am constantly bringing up the same books, but I know that I love it when other bloggers do that, because I can really get a sense for how they feel about a certain book, and if it’s one they enjoyed, it makes me more likely to pick it up.
It’s funny how we tend to hold ourselves to a different standard than we do everyone else!

    1. Omg- thank you! Im not alone in that 😅 sure does.. we always need to be stricter on ourselves eh?

I don’t know if I do for others actually.. but iknow mother is bad for that ahaha she can tell me the same thing like 5times in a row 😂🤦🏽‍♀️ so it’s a thing im kinda used to it on others?

Say something 💕
