End of February, Early March 🍀

End of February, Early March 🍀

Good Morning, guys!

Finally, February has came to an end too – although it was the shortest month of the year, it was all sort of mess for me personally xD As I’ve ended up being sick for like half of the month.. just starting to feel better since this week, so yeah.

Anyway, let’s hop onto this post!

February’s Habit Tracker

Seems like I say this every time, but it feels like this was my absolute worst x) although- feeling like shit for almost two whole weeks and forcing myself to go to work didn’t helped me doing anything else.. as you can see in my “returning comment” area, it did a big hit.

Events of the months;

I only finished two books this month; one of the arcs I have gotten, “Very Nearly Normal“, aswell as one that I had on my shelf for a while, “Words on Bathroom Walls“.

∇ I have yet again gotten another arc! ahaha.. that one had been pending for atleast two month, and while it was being published on Feb 4th, Netgalley gave it to me on the 19th… so yeah 🤦🏽‍♀️ The book is “Break in case of Emergency“.

∇ I’ve also participated onto a Collab post for Valentine’s day on Mayumi’s @ The Quotex, where I gave her a Romance Recommendation.

∇ As you could see it being empty in my Habit Tracker, I started the month by cancelling my Beach Body subscription.. I was just not using it enough for myself to be okay with paying for it, I have quite an hard time with things like that x) though my mom was indeed using it.. she couldn’t for a while too as she was hurting, and yeah – I took the decision of not taking it anymore after paying for 3-months twice. We had it until Feb 20th, but then I got sick ; so I actually didn’t did any until then.

∇ I got my results of the blood tests I had last month, where I got the reassurance that everything within my body is fine, BUT I have a vitamin D defficiency. So that explains why i’m so low-energy.. He said you wanna be around 75, while mine was only 53 😂  as of which the tests I took of 2012, I was at 40-something ahaha so I got a bit more- but still took a ride.

So I started to take some Vitamin D supplements, and decided upon some things i’d love to change in my life when my energy will be back. The last one that I had forgot at the time of writing that, is to take more pictures… myself, my dogs, things/places, anything! Looking back at some pictures, you really sorta feel bad of not having took more if that make sense?

∇ From the 11th to roughly the 22nd, I had been sick.. When I went to the clinic, the doctor had told me that I did a bronchititis; but because it was due to a virus and not a bacteria, she left me without antibiotic nor anything (not even a puffer!). Almost a whole two weeks feeling like absolute garbage: deep caughing to the point where I was dizzy, headaches/migraines, throat hurting like I had swallowed knifes/almost losing my voice while still going to work was a real pain. BUT I LIVED!! ✌🏼 I’m finally feeling better.

∇ Lastly, i’ve also been improving on my driving – I now feel fully comfortable with mom’s SUV aswell as the driving class’ small hybrid car; like my manager told me, you get to “know” your car and it goes so much better xd I also attempted parallel parking and my first ever going to a drive thru!

I’m still learning, and have quite a while to go as my driving test is only scheduled for late May, but i’m kind of really proud of myself.. ahaha never had I thought that I would be able to do all thoses things when I was sick!

∇ After around 2years of saying that I wanna get a new bookshelf (hopefully something bigger) .. I FINALLY BOUGHT ONE!! 🎉 The one I had was the one we had in the living room of our old house- which we had for like, atleast 20years XD

I thought it was a pretty one, that actually fit the color of my other furnitures AND it wasn’t that pricey compared to what I saw before — win/win, eh? I’m not actually sure if it’s that much bigger than the one I have, I think I have an extra 4 squares? but then again my old one had 4 ones all in one row, which takes like two-ish like thoses.. we’ll see! i’m quite excited to have it in my room with all my books & my game shelf on it 😄

March’s pages!

I decided against going with two gel-pens and try out with only one pen and a marker .. and i’m actually gonna keep doing it like that! So satisfying to not have anything bleed out and spots everywhere because it wasn’t dried yet.

Next month is also my eldest dachshund’s birthday!! My baby will turn 6 years old 😭 his sister quickly following in May with turning 5 years old ..

Like I mentionned in last month’s post, I’m actually gonna draw the “squares” as I go this month – so less empty ones and hopefully even less stressing myself about them.

I might add more later, like if I actually end up starting a gym membership, but this is what I have for now; without the Beach Body program, as I have obviously stopped it xd

It just occured to me afterward that I could’ve drawn clovers and 4-leaf clovers.. but oops- it’d be my poorly drawned sprouts yet again for this march (ithink I did the exact same ladt year too xd)

Same old, same old here.. but LOOK HOW CLEAN!!! I still can’t get over it ahah

  1. You know, I think I liked it better in the old days when doctors handed over anti-biotics no matter what was wrong with you. Once when I was a child, I insisted I was sick and needed to stay home from school. My Mom thought I was lying, and I was, so she tried to trick me by saying “If you’re sick you’re going to have to go to the doctor.” Fine. So we went to the doctor and I was totally lying about being sick. There was nothing wrong with me. But I lied to the doctor and told him I had a really sore throat. He prescribed anti-biotics. Crazy!

But yah, anti-biotics always helped me get over any illness that I had as a child a lot faster, be it viral or bacteria, so I think we should go back to that strategy. LOL

Congrats on your driving!!! Parallel parking…how’d that go? It still terrifies me to this day. I’m awful at it, even with my tiny VW New Beetle. LOL

VERY INTERESTING about the Vitamin D!!!! I wonder if that’s why my Mom (age 92) sleeps most of the day away now when she didn’t used to. She had been taking a daily Vitamin D supplement every day for the past 3 years but recently the doctor casually said “She doesn’t need to take these. They don’t do anything.” Keep in mind he’s a small town, old-timey doctor. I’m going to try starting her up on the Vitamin D again and see if she’s got more energy. I mean, at 92 you only have SO MUCH energy, but still. She wasn’t sleeping as much during the day when she was taking that Vit D. Hmm…something to think about!!!

    1. Oh my god 😂 yeah- that’s how you get a resistance to antibiotics !! Crazy they didn’t even seemed to check either.. wow. Now.. did you took them? 😂
Yeah- well apparently you WILL feel better with them, but it’s not necessarely « because of them ».. she told us a huge thing about it we were looking at each other like « … »

I havent practiced with real cars yet Xd but it had went well! I had the theoric part still in mind, but it was how it would translate in action.. ahaha most of my errors were silly little things like messing up my right from my left and inversing them 🤦🏽‍♀️

Oof, yeah that’s probably it. Specially if you spent more time inside if summer where you are// or in winter like us well.. theres no sun at all.. haha — AND I would assume her body got used to it, mine said that you can take as many as you want as Still don’t make the mark (i assume after you stop them..)

  2. Glad you’re feeling some better, and I hope the Vit D helps you have more energy!

The beginning of March is going to be very exciting! Going on Star Trek cruise. 8 days with the best tribe ever, traveling the Carribean.

    1. So far so good! Though im just back from 2weeks being sick, so i still get tired 😅 yesterday I just kept napping after work, AND slept around midnight 😐 (usually I easily go past 1am- and slept all the way until my alarm rang. Except for the few mins my dog woke me for at 3am 😂 i just growled him to sleep hahah)

Ooooh sounding really exciting!! Enjoy xx

    1. Thank you!
Still hasn’t received my bookshelf.. probably because of the storm we got yesterday :/ I’m so excited to get it to see what my room would look like !!

    1. Thank you!
Yeah.. i’m not surprised that it’s common, still kinda erh though 😂 but i’m glad it’s just that, for sure!

    1. Thank you!
It feels so great having energy again.. and then I stil, have the deception of the past few days of needing like 2naps after work 😓 (before and after supper.. and I go to sleep at MIDNIGHT)

  3. Aaaah the bookshelf looks awesome, hopefully all your books fit hehe. Ooooo driving, I have my first driving lesson in March and I’m a mix of nerves and excitement. Loving your bujo layout as always Kris. Hope you have a good March and that the vitamins and everything help you out <3

    1. Thank you Clo 💕
It can actually fit way more books that I have 😂 I told my mom « well… I ran into an happy problem here- NOT ENOUGH BOOKS to fill it!! », the tour of the shelf is tomorrow if you’d wanna see 😘

Don’t be nervous, it’ll go okay ❤️ the first time is always scary, specially if like me you never touched anything with a motor xd.. but as time goes on you become so much more relaxed, I promise!
Have an awesome March aswell, darling xx

  4. Oh wow, awful that they didn’t give you anything at all to help with your illness! I am glad you’re starting to feel better. Also very good that you’re taking Vitamin D supplements and I hope it means your energy levels will start to rise again. Yay for reading two books though. I hope you will have a brilliant March <3

    1. Thank you dear ❤️
It’s starting to improving, though I still frequently need the nap .. waking up at 545am for work five days a week is hard, ahah

Hope you’ll have a happy March aswell xx
