Half year book tag ! āœ¦

Heey !

As youā€™ll read this, iā€™ll be on my way home from our little vacation trip! This post took me longer than iā€™d wanna admit to find, as I wanted to plan ALL the posts while iā€™d be gone and well.. I just couldnā€™t find a tag I liked for today šŸ˜…

As I did the June freak-out tag last year, I didnā€™t felt like doing it back quite yet.. and I found this tag on Zezeeā€™s @ Zezee with books, click the link to go see her post!
TheĀ Half Year Book TagĀ was created byĀ BexnBookxĀ in 2016.

Ā

First, Iā€™d like us to take a look at which book I read so far ā€“ Iā€™ve managed to suceed my goal of 15 already, and I read 19 books ;

Ā

1. Favourite stand alone book hauled and read so far in 2019?

Well I havenā€™t hauled many books this year.. so that disqualify a bunch ahah ā€“ Iā€™d go for Ā«My Hearts and Other Black HolesĀ», that I ā€œhauledā€ from our library app.

Ā

2. Favourite series that you started or continued to read in 2019?

Oh my gosh, the Sovereign serie by Josie Jaffrey that I finished reading the final book this yearā€¦ iā€™m so sad I wonā€™t be seeing my Lucas anymore, although we did have gotten a pretty nice and happy ending. Iā€™m always thinking back on that serie and feel like rereading it again, but as a whole without stopping!

Ā

3. Favourite bookish items purchased or received this year?

errr.. I actually havenā€™t purchased any bookish items..

Ā

4. Favourite debut author?

I donā€™t know who is a debut author at this point šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļøĀ as iā€™m mostly late on my reading.. aha

Ā

5. Favourite under-hyped book that you read this year?

I wanna say Ā«SupermarketĀ» ā€¦ I havenā€™t seen anyone talk about it in the bookish community, as it has been Alex to show it to me (as itā€™s written by itā€™s favorite rapper). The twists absolutely blew my mind ā€“ and iā€™m fairly frequently still thinking about it.

Ā

6. Favourite book read this year that you were late to the party on?

Iā€™m pretty much late on EVERYTHING XD Ā«My heart and other black holesĀ», Ā«Letters to the lostsĀ», Ā«Reasons to Stay AliveĀ» ..

Ā

7. Potential favourite that you havenā€™t got around to reading yet?

On my shelves, iā€™d say probably Ā«The Nerdy & the DirtyĀ» or Ā«A Totally Awkward Love StoryĀ». I wonā€™t even try to browse my 288books in my virtual wanna read shelf, letā€™s just go with the ones I own ahah šŸ˜‚

Ā

8. Favourite re-read in 2019?

Ā«HeavenwardĀ»! The difference between now and last year was flagrant, as I had more ā€œreading in englishā€ experiences, so I got to understands some thing SO much better.

Ā

9. Favourite cover on a book released this year?

I definately loved the cover of Witchcraft & Monsters ! Not sure what it is in particular about it, but iā€™m a fan for the witchy aesthetic !

Ā

Iā€™m tagging everyone who wanna do it ! šŸ˜„Ā Wether you had done the mid-year freakout aswell or just wanting something a little different like me.

  1. Supermarket has mostly negative reviews on Goodreads. I wonder why other readers didnā€™t find the twists mind-blowing. Now Iā€™m a LITTLE BIT curious about it but Iā€™m not sure if Iā€™m curious enough to pick it up or not.

    1. Well see, from what iā€™ve seen itā€™s just people who strictly liked his music; and probably think that he shouldnā€™t had expended to writer aswell.. šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø I havenā€™t seen one person not writing a review and having read it without knowing his tunes.

  2. Yea, I thought Supermarket would have received more hype. I havenā€™t read it, but couple people I know have expressed interest in it.
Iā€™m glad you did the tag. It was a good one Bex created.

    1. I honestly wouldnā€™t had known if my boyfriend werenā€™t super onto knowing all of his stuff.. and I literally havenā€™t seen ANYONE else talk about it yet.

yes, I agree!! Itā€™s nice to have something a little different than our usual half year freakout we see everywhere.

  3. I had fun reading your answers, also, awesome job on not going crazy on buying books and bookish merch this year so far. I myself have failed horribly with that aspect lol.

    1. Hahaha, itā€™s mostly because I didnā€™t had time nor the energy to go anywhere beside work šŸ˜‚ and for some reason iā€™m not big onto order stuff onlineā€¦ šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

  4. Iā€™m also always late to reading books, haha, but Iā€™ve learnt to not let it bother me. Iā€™ve been let down by new releases getting over hyped too many times and I prefer to now just focus on books that have a backlog of good reviews.

    1. Thatā€™s the best way to go, just let the hype pass and get to it after. Iā€™m not bothered by it either! Honestly I have no idea of what books are releasing šŸ˜‚ I donā€™t keep track of that so, heh šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø
