Mini Reviews ☆ Soyangri book kitchen & La septième vague

Good morning!

The book slump is still kicking my arse, as i’m yet again 5books behind.. but here’s the books i’ve finished lately!

Soyangri book kitchen, Kim Jee Hye
3,5 ⭐️ / 5 stars

I loved the idea of a book store with a Café AND a stay-in rooms included! Again, as i’ve not been in the right state of mind, I feel like I didn’t enjoyed this as much as I should’ve.. though I appreciated that some characters came back after their original chapters to have a final update at Christmas.

La septième Vague, Daniel Glattauer (Every seventh waves)
3,5 ⭐️ / 5 stars

I’ve reread the first book countless times before (Love Virtually), and finally got to read the second tome after almost a decade. Though I reread it not too long ago, 1-2years, It didn’t took me long to remember my beloved characters 🥰 Emmi & Leo are so well written that you can feel them as real; she’s stormy and explosive at times, while he get drunk and open up his “emotion wardrobe” in long poetic emails.

Now the reason why I didn’t like this one as much as the first one was the overall emotion of the book. I really relate with having feelings over someone over emails (or text, in my era); however the first one was more romance with no end in sight, until it did unexpectedly because of -redacted-, In this one we were in constant limbo of saying goodbye.. to continue chatting a few months later. Rinse and repeat. Generally i’m happy to have finish the serie and finally have the end of the story, as it left in a cliffhagner… but I don’t think i’ll reread this one as much. or if I should even keep it.. Even if it ends on a happy ending (which left me so confused! It popped out of nowhere.. and way too late!)

Have you read any of these?
