October ’23 Wrap up!

October ’23 Wrap up!

Helloo !

The spooky time is almost over.. which is very sad. I still haven’t watched any horror movies yet!! 😝 I’ll finally be moving onto my new Bujo for November with my new layout πŸ‘πŸΌ so i’m pretty excited!!

October’s feel;

We had two birthdays this month; both my bestfriend on the 19th & her baby on the 2nd! Sadly, I couldn’t attend her first birthday party as even though I took a week off work (but traded 3 days as 8 was originally too much), I very timely got a sinusitis πŸ₯² Couldn’t go to see them after that, because when it wasn’t me it was mother who was sick with a bronchitis… which has been for maybe 3weeks- just stopped her antibiotics last week.

What i’ve read;

I’ve finished 3 books this time! The No-Show from my Autumn TBR, finally got to Sadie, that had been on my list for years, and I finished with another horror retelling La belle au bois dormant. I’m currently rereading Geekerella! πŸ₯° Though as good as I remember, i’m into a sluggish reading mood? Like though I like it, I don’t really wanna pick it up? xD

October’s highlights;

β™₯︎ I’ve skipped two thursdays in a row this month .. which isn’t too bad. I’ve shared my 2024 reading goals aready, along with my reading with anxiety; have I read that right?, 5 horror movies I wanna watch, Breaking the stigma about mental health medication & are you a fan of retellings?

β™₯︎ In the gaming world, I have a phase where I binged Zelda Minish Cap the whole weekend that I was sick – and I decided to restart my play of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom!! As we speak I haven’t decided which temple I wanna attack first.. I had originally picked Goron/Bird/Gerudo/Zora on my first playthrough.

β™₯︎ Kafei ended up going to the vet again because of his random wound on his side.. he needed a second batch of antibiotics (!! amazed how strong they are for small dogs..); while there I asked he get blood tests send to see if he has Cushing Disease, which is common in doxies, and it had come back negative!

Very good news, as he’s nearly 10 now. I just need to go for a check up on if the infection from the wound is resolved on the second attempt. The fur all grew back where I don’t even see the scar!

He got a new “sleeping bag” for Christmas, early, and been loving it!

β™₯︎ As with mother getting sick again and Covid being worst, though ignored, I decided to get us some KN95 masks! Mainly wear them for work, as I don’t really get out of the house/work.. but I have some stached nearly everywhere: in the car, in my purse and in mother’s camera bag πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ I’ve heard they’re more protective than the surgical masks we had, so I thought might aswell get some of those, as it wont go away any soon by how it’s looking !

November spreads;

My new Ottergami spreads shown in this post instead πŸŽƒ

How had been your spooky season?

  1. aw im so sorry about you getting sick and not getting to attend your friend’s and her daughter’s birthdays, and about your mother too. desperately hoping that you’re both doing much better now though!!

  2. I’m also so sad that the spooky season went by so fast πŸ₯Ί Sorry to hear that you’ve been sick, I hope everything is better now!

    I hope you enjoyed Sadie, I read it a couple of years back and loved it! I have barely played video games this year, but the Zelda games are such a comfort to me 😊

  3. Good to see that Kafei is healthy and loving life. Dachshunds are so beautiful. I could not be without my two furbabies.
