Good morning everyone,
Here it is, we are finally saying goodbye to 2021.. I still don’t know how to feel about that 😅 While i’m happy to start using my new spreads and new reading challenges and all- it also feels kinda wierd? ofcourse we knew eventually it was gonna be Christmas and new year but.. I feel like I got stuck somewhere else in the months prior ahaha, anyway!
December’s feels;
So this month, guys! I started the month hard at work and plowing 10hrs shifts aswell as 8days in a row.. to finish it having the last week of the year on vacation for my birthday- my plan was to hopefully being able to go back home to my family & bestfriend for a few days.. which got kinda demolished because of Covid worsening and the weather and all that.. We were able to see my uncle & his wife however, as they came in-town they paid us a visit.
I also decided that I was tired of yoga, and *after I finished my crazy working mode*, went on exercicing with my 8lbs dumbbells instead. Working on my feet so much, it left me with increadible leg pains on my days off, so figured it would help. Working out my shoulders and arms are so much easier for me 😅 leg days have me sore for 3-4 business days afterward for now, so we gonna work upper body in thoses after a couple rest days.
What I read;
With work being so tedious, I only finished 2 books this month as I struggled to read in that time. Both were owned books, one physical aswell as an ebook: One last stop & Christmas in Cockleberry bay.
You can see my final count of my 2021 reading challenges, plus one for #BeatThe backlist. As for my Winter TBR– two books now remain unreads, I have finished three off it already.
December’s highlights;
♥︎ Again, because of working & out of creativity, one post has been skipped this month. Along with my two Sunday’s Chat of the month, Blood donation & Christmas holidays aswell as 8days in a row, BIG eevee plush & Staff party, I shared some more of my personal writing. Being a grinch on Christmas and My birthday, at last; last time I did one of thoses “Unlike other’s post, where i’m mostly monologing” had been in September, and the coming of Christmas & My birthday inspired me to write 😅
♥︎ Christmas has been good this year; me & mother did some Christmas baking few days prior (lemon tarts, butter cookies aswell as marshmallow chocolate & caramel butterscotch squares), and I got to wear one of my Christmas sweater to work on the 24th – which went honestly much better than I had anticipated (We were closing at 5pm on Christmas’ eve)
Around 9’oclock, waiting on midnight, we played a game on Dachshund-opoly, which the dogs ended up joining us ahah! It wasn’t unusual for Kafei to sit on my lap while we played, but Sheik kept jumping on the chairs around us from time to time. Though it started good for me, I sadly lost to my dad again 🤣
I received my bedding I had asked for, aswell as my bookstore giftcard as per tradition to get on my birthday, but my parents also surprised me with some more dachshund accessory: another decal to put into our collection on “our” car, aswell as a licence plate with a picture of my two on it!!
♥︎ Gaming this month included New horizons (as per usual), but I’ve also been trying to beat the Elite four & Champion in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond aswell as starting The great Ace attorney Chronicles. I also picked Skyward Sword HD back up to where I left it off months ago.. Finally, we got back into the mood to play some Sims 4.
The new year spreads!
As my current Bujo has only until March, I put my Reading goals on my brand new yellow one (as of which I haven’t figured them out yet, besides the Goodread’s). I also decided to pick the same color palette for both January spreads & the goal page, purple & pink. The quote reads «You deserve lots of beauty in your life».
I actually did my February spreads too already, that I actually prefer to this one 😅 as of which both got the habit tracker removed from my weeklies.
I wish you an happy 2022, May it be better than the last one!
How was your December? Did you got everyting you wanted? xx
Joyeux Noël Kristina! And what wouldn’t we do to stay healthy right?
Joyeux Noel, et surtout bonne année Sophie!
Yep.. but hey, im not complaining. I got ahead on my blogging and I sure recharged a bunch!
Sounds like an eventful end of the year! I can only imagine the curfew news out here was probably not the best news to cap it all off though. The bullet journal looks good though. Hope you achieve amazing things this year. Happy New Year! 😀
Actually, we didn’t got the curfew here! :p not yet anyway, though no doubt we’d need something like that- it’s ridiculous.
Thank you 🥰
Happy new year Lashaan! I hope this one is good to all of us.
